Ripe and showy with the first sips, offering black cherries and raspberries, spice notes and a hint of meatiness. Broadens on the palate with air, revealing its youth and sense of structure – then gaining nuance and dimension as it continues to open in the glass. Notes of dark chocolate and minerality emerge, suggesting there’s more to come with a little time. This wine just arrived in New York, so it needs a few months to recover from traveling and will be best if given another couple of years.
