Delicious! Rich, deep and vibrant offering a mingling of black cherries and wild raspberries, joined by notes of spice, coffee and a hint of game. Palate coating and long. This “baby Gevrey” is the real deal – terroir talks and it speaks Gevrey-Chambertin. The fact is that Roncevie was Gevrey-Chambertin until 1964 when, for some reason (some say political) it’s classification was changed to Bourgogne. But, it’s still the same site, same terroir and its delicious!
