Very aromatic – dark fruited, spicy and floral. Rich and stylish on the palate, mingling wild blackberries, cherries and plums with floral and spice notes, a hint of coffee, touch of minerality and subtle tannins. Graceful, penetrating and delicious. A wine I found pleasurable now, but there’s certainly no rush to drink it. (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from vines averaging 40 years old.)
