We often hear prospective customers remark that "Burgundy is too expensive!" or "It's hard to get a good Chardonnay for under twenty dollars." We understand the frustration that many consumers feel given the escalation in price of wines of all varieties and regions. That is why, just as with our Grand and Premier Crus, we visit producers from the "lesser known" appellations for wines of value. Just in the past several months we have offered special bottlings of unfiltered Macons, old-vines Beaujoulais from Georges Duboeuf, and Bourgogne declassified from 1er Cru vineyards. While these bottles are individual and delicious to even the most discerning palate, the true uniqueness of these wines is in the fact that they were all under twenty dollars (and only available at the Burgundy Wine Company)!
